Whether you just heard about floating and want to check it out for the first time or are a seasoned veteran, we've got something for you!
Individual Float Sessions
Short Float (30 Minutes)
A 30 minute float session might be for you if you are looking for a quick getaway or aren't sure that you can last an hour. Often times, however, clients come out and wish they would have booked for a longer time. If you are wanting to get the full experience, consider scheduling for an hour.
Regular Float (1 Hour)
It takes time to learn to let go, and you may find that some days are easier than others. To get the most out of your float session, we recommend floating for at least an hour. We find that an hour is typically the minimum amount of time for many of our clients reach a level of complete relaxation.
Long Float (2 Hours)
Longer float sessions are usually recommended for more experienced floaters. A float lasting 2 hours or longer can be just what you need if you are having problems with insomina, sensory overload, or extreme stress. Please contact us if you are interested in booking a longer float. We may have additional times available that aren't listed on the schedule.
A complimentary 15 minute zero gravity massage chair session is included prior to each float.
Three Session Float Package (1 Hour Each)
Floating is a practice that takes time and experience to learn how to let go, how to really let go, and how to let go even further. You have to learn to trust that the water will keep you supported when you fully relax. Once you get the newness out of the way and get comfortable with the whole process, you will most likely find it much easier to reach a deeper relaxed state. Consider purchasing a three session float package (1-hour each) to grasp a better understanding of floating. Remember that your first session is only an introduction. Floats get better and better with repetition!
Note: All three floats must be used by the same person.
Float Away Spa offers a variety of massage services as well. Whether you are an elite athlete looking for better mobility and recovery or just need a little extra attention on a stiff muscle or joint, we can help! We also offer advanced specialty massages, such as Deep Tissue, Functional Mobility, as well as our Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy sessions to help with chronic pain and posture issues.
Swedish massage is the most widely recognized and commonly used category of massage. The Swedish massage techniques vary from light to vigorous. Swedish massage uses five styles of strokes. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber or with the fibers) and vibration/shaking.
Deep Tissue (1 Hour)
Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. It's used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.
Functional Mobility is designed for anyone looking to improve their functional ability. Whether you are recovering from an injury or want to enhance your athletic game, we have the experience and expertise to set you on the right path!
Our movement professional will take you through the Gray Institute's Three-Dimensional Movement Analysis & Performance System (3DMAPS) in order to develop a Relative Success Code. The Relative Success Code will then allow the movement professional to design a program specifically for you based on your movement and limitations.
Myoskeletal Alignment (2 Hours)
This is a comprehensive, integrated approach using deep tissue massage, joint stretching, and myofascial mobilization techniques to address a myriad of issues involving chronic muscle and joint pain, limited mobility, poor posture, and can even help with migraines and scoliosis. We design integrated strategies based on our assessments for finding and fixing complex neck, back, hip, rotator cuff, and SI joint pain. This is our most in-depth treatment. Myoskeletal Alignment sessions include a functional movement assessment, 1-hour Deep Tissue massage, and a home workable mobility program.
